About Me

We moved to Van Alstyne in 2023 and decided to try as many churches as we could to see what would be the right fit.  Instead, we attended Elmont once and said this is home!  My husband Kyle and I have been married since 2017 and have two beautiful boys, Cooper who is 7 and Crew who is 5.  When we have free time, you will find us doing anything water related, from swimming to fishing to wakeboarding, we love it all.  We are also Disney World obsessed and passionate about advocating for autism acceptance, as our son Cooper is ASD nonverbal.  Elmont has been the biggest blessing in helping our family with respite.  I spent 13 years working in accounting and when the need stepped up for someone to take over Elmont's finances, I wanted to give back for all they have done for our family.  Not having grown up knowing about a relationship with Jesus until I was 14 years old, I am also passionate about Children's ministry where i serve on Sundays and am the Curriculum Coordinator as well.

History at Elmont

When did you start working at Elmont?

I started working in Accounting Fall of 2025.

What is your role at Elmont?

Director of Finance

What is your favorite part of working at Elmont?

Knowing that the second I walk through the door there is going to be hugs and smile from family.

What makes Elmont feel like family?

That my family is fully and lovingly accepted.  Having a child with a disability can make it tough to go places sometimes, and from the moment we stepped in the door, no one has batted an eye when he makes a noise at an inappropriate time.  Everyone speaks to him as if he's going to answer back.  The love and kindness we have experienced brings me to tears (which if you know me is not a shock! haha)

Fun Facts

What's one "fun fact" about yourself?

I have been to Disney World more times than years I've been alive.

As a kid, what was your dream job?

I grew up in Illinois, but I always wanted to be a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader.  Just moved here 20 years too late!

What is your favorite movie?

The Sound of Music

If you could only eat one thing forever, what would it be?

Tacos!

What childhood belief was debunked as you grew up?

My dad always told us if we turned the dome light on in the car at night he would get arrested but it was really that it just prevented him from being able to see.
