About Me

Hi there! I'm Elizabeth Bedard and I am a Kansas girl at heart, but have lived in Texas since 2005. I went to Kansas State University (Go Wildcats!) and graduated with a degree in Elementary Education. I taught for 5 years, and then went on staff with K-Life (middle and high school discipleship ministry), where I was the Women's Director for the North Dallas chapter and got to love on kids and leaders and help them grow in Christ. My husband Tony and I met at the Village Church and our first date was in February, we were engaged in May, and married in October of 2010! We have 2 awesome kiddos--Ellie and Bo, and we love watching them play sports, taking trips together, spending time with our bio and church families, and just having fun together!

History at Elmont

When did you start working at Elmont?

My family started going to Elmont in the fall of 2020, and I came on staff in the spring of 2022.

What is your role at Elmont?

I am the Director of Connection Ministries. I help guests of Elmont to get connected and become fully integrated members of our church. From facilitating the Essentials class to overseeing Life Groups, Membership and events, I try to connect with every new and seasoned face at Elmont.

What is your favorite part of working at Elmont?

I love being connected to our church family and welcoming new people, learning about them and their passions, and plugging them into our church Body. I also really love our leadership family---from elders, staff, ministry coordinators, and life group shepherds, we have so much fun together and a genuine love for one another. If is such an encouraging place to work!

What makes Elmont feel like family?

I have seen Elmont be family in so many ways, and one of those is through the Life Group ministry. Whether it was a previous group who invited us in and loved on us while we were in a very hard season, or through our current group that loves one another well as we do life together--seeking to hold each other accountable as we draw near to Christ. Life groups have been a safe place to be ourselves, love deeply, and seek the Lord together as family.
