About Me

I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and graduated from Seattle Pacific University where I met my lovely wife, Alicia. We were married in 2006 right after graduation and since then we have been blessed with 5 amazing kids: Lucy, Noah, Judah, Shirley, & Alice.

I've worked in ministry for the past 20 years and I especially love working in missions, youth ministry, and worship. Beyond ministry work, Alicia and I run a theatre company called Anderlin Arts, that offers performing arts classes and productions for kids, teens, and adults.

With all the balls I juggle, I lead a very busy yet joy-filled life. In my spare time, I love swing dancing with my wife, tea parties with my girls, nerf wars with my boys, eating delicious food, boating, watching Seattle sports, & listening to vintage Beatles records on my record player.

History at Elmont

When did you start working at Elmont?

My first Sunday was Christmas Eve 2023

What is your role at Elmont?

Interim Director of Worship Ministry

What is your favorite part of working at Elmont?

The relationships I am building with the music team. I like that we can joke around,  have fun, and still accomplish our objectives. I feel blessed that the people at Elmont are gracious, authentic, and like to laugh.

What makes Elmont feel like family?

I like that the church encourages families in ministry together.  My favorite times are the occasions when the entire body of Christ comes together. For example, for all-family services like Easter, or when the kids join the main service for baptisms, or during all church events like Family Fun Day & the Daddy/Daughter dance. During these times, the church truly feels like a family because young and old are gathering together.

Fun Facts

What's one "fun fact" about yourself?

I trekked into the Himalayan mountain range and saw Mt. Everest first hand.

If you could only eat one thing forever, what would it be?

Thai Food & Schwarma as the main courses.
Warm home-made Chocolate Chip Cookies for dessert.

What are your favorite TV Shows?

Seinfeld, The Office, Parks & Rec, Sherlock, Downton Abbey, Chuck, & Master Chef.

If you could only go on vacation to one spot for the rest of your life where would it be?

My grandparents cabin in Eastern Washington. We go there every year. There are so many amazing memories. We fish, boat, ski, inner tube, swim, kayak, play sports, play cards & board games, eat delicious food, star gaze, have campfires, sing-alongs, and stay up late laughing. I would be very happy to repeat that vacation over and over again.

What was your first car?

When I was 16 I bought an old clunky 67' Chevy Malibu. I drove it back home to my parent's house and then it never moved again. That thing was a hunk of junk, total lemon, and completely worthless. But that 30 minute drive back to my parents house was glorious.
