About Me

Hey y'all! I'm Kensey! I am a single lady with two dogs (that I am absolutely obsessed with) named Winnie and Paisley. I graduated from Texas A&M in December of 2020, WHOOP, with a degree in International Policy (I obviously use that one all the time at Elmont) and then started my Th-M at Dallas Theological Seminary in the Fall semester of 2021. I love learning, being outside, singing, writing, Aggie football, and spending time with my parents, siblings, and nieces and nephews!

History at Elmont

When did you start working at Elmont?

I have been a member at Elmont since 2018 and joined the staff in February of 2021.

What is your role at Elmont?

I am the Director of Student Ministry.

What is your favorite part of working at Elmont?

I LOVE our team! There is nothing quite like this staff! We laugh together, do real life with one another, and everyone is so willing to jump in and help even when it isn't really their job or something they have to do. This staff challenges me, encourages me, and really just makes me better!

What makes Elmont feel like family?

I love that I have women from every generation that pour into my life at Elmont! One night I can be having a game night with some students or  going to life group with other 20-somethings and the next I can be invited to family dinner with a couple in their 50's and I love every second of it.

Fun Facts

What's one "fun fact" about yourself?

I helped write the words to my High School's fight song- I think they still use it today.

What is your secret talent?

I can touch my tonsils with the tip of my tongue (gross but true)

What is your favorite movie?

I have a top 3 I am VERY passionate about: About Time, Little Women and A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood.

As a kid, what was your dream job?

I really wanted to be a vet but then I found out I was allergic to cats and scrapped that dream.

What was your first car?

I drove a 2006 Chevy Cobalt. She had manual locks and the ones in the back seat had been chewed off by some animal- we kept pliers in the car to unlock the doors. Her name was Rachel the Ratchet Mobile.
